Variety’s flagship project is Camp Variety for Kids, a free summer day camp program for children with disabilities and their siblings, ages 6 to 21.
Camp Variety for Kids nurtures physical and mental stimulation in a safe, outdoor environment. Kids of all abilities are invited to come out to make arts & crafts, play adaptive sports, dance, swim – and more. The goal is to foster independence and participation in adaptive, age appropriate and peer group activities. The goal is also to have fun.
Come out and play
Each year, we invite hundreds of kids for a day program packed with recreation, education and good times in the great outdoors. Camp Variety for Kids gives children with disabilities a chance to interact with their peers and siblings. And to participate in special programs, arts and crafts, and even some song and dance.
We’ve worked hard to create a loving and accepting environment for kids of all abilities.
And from the look of the smiles, we’ve succeeded.
A breath of fresh air
While Variety’s kids are busy being happy campers, their parents and caregivers get a needed respite. This down time is priceless because it gives families a chance to recharge. Renewed and re-energized, they can go on and face the challenges of a new day.
Camp Variety for Kids is also an opportunity to network with other parents. Stories are shared. Bonds are formed. Friendships develop. There’s great comfort knowing that you’re not alone in the unique journey of caring for a child with a disability.

To sign your child up, please complete the Camp Variety for Kids Application and mail it to Variety.
**Due to space restrictions, campers are accepted on a first come first served basis.
